Whilst in London for a brief visit to Uncle Simon (Griggy) for the New Year, we went to see Alladin at the Hackney Empire. It was an excellent traditional panto with all the unmissable standard fare (like constant joke mispronunciations of the baddy's name (Abanazer - 'Ave a banana etc.) as well as a right up-to-date "homeboy" Wishie Washie, and all the local references (Ha-ke-nay in old Peking). Great stuff. It makes you proud to be British.
Is that really OJ?
